On the 28th of October AustCham Beijing held an industry Roundtable event hosted by the CEO of Standards Australia, Bronwyn Evans. Standards Australia is the nation’s peak non-government Standards organisation. It is charged by the Commonwealth Government to meet Australia’s need for contemporary, internationally aligned Standards and related services. Developing Industry Standards in China was an industry roundtable even to discuss an update on industry standards in China.
The event was used as a platform to elaborate on the Standardisation Administration of China and exchange information and perspectives on issues around standards in China. Key areas of alignment between both Australia and China’s standards covered a range of the chamber’s industry groups including Energy, Financial Services, Healthcare, E-commerce, and Sustainable Cities. The event was also a great forum for members to voice which Australian industry standards are relevant here in China.
