News | Strategic Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony between AustCham West & Jiulongpo District Government

On Friday, December 8, 2017, the Australian Chamber of Commerce West China was delighted to participate in a strategic cooperation agreement signing ceremony with the Jiulongpo District government of Chongqing.

Following the ceremony, Lance Truong, Consul from the Australian Consulate-General, Chengdu; AustCham West China Chairman, Richard Murphy; AustCham West China Vice Chairman, Simon Ding and AustCham West China board member, Joker Wang accompanied Chongqing district officials around the Australian products market. Being showcased was a range of first class Australian products including air-freighted Australian beef; wines, beer and sparkling juices; high quality health and baby care products; proprietary label tracking technology; and an advanced range of vertical lift solutions for buildings, parking and storage spaces.

Australian Consulate-General, Chengdu , Consul, Lance Truong said ”We look forward to working closely with AustCham West China and Jiulongpo District Government to continue strengthening our bilateral ties”.

As well as enjoying the Australian products market, members of the public spent time reading the “45 Years, 45 Stories” story boards that were on display around the venue. This initiative from the Australian Consulate-General, Chengdu celebrates 45 years of Australia-China diplomatic relations with a range of fascinating stories from Australian and Chinese men and women from fields as diverse as science, the arts and business who have all shared their personal connection with our countries.
