Mr. John Han is General Manager of the company and has lived in Australia for more than 20 years. Mr Han had worked with his mentor Mr Ray Brown for over ten years. Mr Brown was the director of the Migration Institute of Australia and a member of the Immigration Ministerial Advisory Group. Mr Han has handled hundreds of migration applications with an overall approval rate of more than 95%.

Mr. Han also has held or holds foreign expert titles from the State Administration of Foreign Experts of the People’s Republic of China, Chongqing Foreign Economic Relations and Trade Commission, J.P. of New South Wales, Australia, Business adviser for Brisbane City International Relations, Australian Immigration Department Registered Immigration Agent, and is a member of the Migration Institute of Australia.

The company chose two Chinese words, Chang and Yi, for its name so as to reflect overseas Chinese’s best wishes for their motherland, and also as a metaphor referring to the long history of Chinese civilisation:

1. The word “Chang” means “long” and represents the Yangtze River and the Great Wall, which are called Long River and Long Wall in China. The Yangtze River is China’s longest river, being regarded as the mother who nurtures Chinese civilisation. The Great Wall is a symbol of the diligence and wisdom of the Chinese people. The word “Yi” has a meaning of safeness and auspiciousness, and also carries the belief that people should live and work in a harmonious and productive life. The two words together heralds China and and suggests the Chinese civilisation has a great future.

2. “Changyi” appeared together as a phrase and was first seen from scripts engraved in unearthed bronze mirrors dating back to the Han Dynasty (202 BC – 220 AD). The book “Catalog of Ancient Mirror” recorded the scripts as: “the mirror was hung high above, as bright as the sun and the moon, lasting as long as the King in the east and the Queen in the west, blessing their descendants, to become lords and senior officials”. “Changyi” was an expression of a blessing to offspring for generations to come.

3. The metaphor of Changyi at the same time represents our corporate culture, as being closely associated with the Chinese ideology and culture, as well as our legal knowledge and experience serving our clients with truthfulness and excellence.

Changyi is not just a migration company, as we also assist clients with tailor-made migration plans, and helping clients find the best way of obtaining permanent residence quickly.

Changyi also actively participates in bilateral trade initiatives by working closely with Australian Trade Commission, the Australian Chamber of Commerce West China and the state and territory trade departments of Australia to promote trade between Australia and China.

In cultural exchange aspects, Changyi has spared no effort in promoting international education collaboration by liaising between education providers from both countries.
