In response, AustCham Beijing and the Australian Embassy are holding an essential overarching information session on the visa arrangements for Chinese visitors travelling to Australia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Michael Willard, Minister Counsellor (Immigration) and Regional Director \u2013 East Asia of the Department of Immigration and Border Protection, will provide insights to the AustCham community into the various visa types, processing times and other relevant visa related matters.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Australian Government currently processes tourist and business visa streams efficiently, with 87.6% of Visitor visa applications received within 5 working days, and 93.3% of applications within 10 working days. Applicants are not required to attend an interview and documentary requirements have increasingly been reduced to make the application process easier, faster and more efficient.
