JD.com received more than 2000 comments since its launch with Chinese customers loving the product. 4.3 tonnes landed last Monday including a wider range of products on the back of the initial success. Chinese customers prefer to order products on their phones, this is where e-commerce will play its role in future sales. Fonterra Managing Director of Global Ingredients Kelvin Wickham commented on the company\u2019s success in direct to customer ingredients, consumer and foodservice sales. This is all the while Fonterra is predicting year on year drop in milk volumes due to milk and climate conditions. Pakistan the world\u2019s fourth largest cotton producer will need to source supply from West Africa and India to make up for the short fall, additionally where other reports show Thailand has switched to preference of yarn imports over unspun cotton. Robusta coffee futures dropped 21% in 2015, and Arabica dropped 24% in New York. Drought in the Brazilian state of Espirito Santo, Brazil\u2019s largest producing state has led to these dampened expectations even though coffee demand has soared more than 40% in the past 15 years, yet there has only been a 25% increase in production.
