However, it remains unclear as to whether many couples will choose to have two children despite the policy change.<\/p>\n<p>In 2013 Leslie T. Chang, author of <em>Factory Girls<\/em>, wrote a piece for the Atlantic arguing that the One-Child Policy had become largely irrelevant, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/china\/archive\/2013\/03\/why-the-one-child-policy-has-become-irrelevant\/274178\/\">click here<\/a> for the full article.<\/p>\n<p>The Guardian published a critical piece on the other side of this debate, entitled \u2018China\u2019s Barbaric One-Child Policy\u2019, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/books\/2013\/may\/06\/chinas-barbaric-one-child-policy\">click here<\/a> to read their views.<\/p>\n<p>Associate Professor Stuart Gietel-Basten of Oxford University recently published a piece, doubting the demographic effects of this policy change. <a href=\"https:\/\/theconversation.com\/why-scrapping-the-one-child-policy-will-do-little-to-change-chinas-population-49982\">Click here<\/a> to read his article.<\/p>\n<p>The forecasted impact on agribusiness is largely optimistic. Bloomberg has reported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2015-10-29\/china-ending-one-child-policy-offers-boost-to-world-dairy-demand\">here<\/a>, that Danone and other major European dairy producers have experienced increases in their stock price. China Dairy Corporation has announced their intentions to list on the ASX, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.smh.com.au\/business\/asxbound-china-dairy-corp-eyes-milk-for-junior-after-onechild-policy-revamp-20151101-gkoe9u.html\">here<\/a> at the Sydney Morning Herald. The Land has reported <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theland.com.au\/news\/agriculture\/agribusiness\/general-news\/new-player-enters-dairy-market\/2747371.aspx\">here<\/a>, that the dairy business has a new and significant entrant, Aerem, which has positioned itself towards the Chinese infant milk powder market.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #cc0a0a;\"><strong>Chinese Soybean Demand Strong<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Despite a large drop in imports to China y\/y for October, demand for soybeans has experienced a 35% increase. The demand increase is being attributed to higher demand for soymeal, the key ingredient made from processing soybeans. The property covers 294,000 hectares and includes 3500 heads of cattle. Minster Han Changfu noted in his speech that this year agriculture and rural economy have maintained a good pace of steady development.
